Looking to the Past for Your Future Action Plan
“Action-oriented programs,” or simply, “action plans,” can become a rote exercise in identifying placement goals for women and people of color, promising to engage in targeted outreach and recruiting, and calling it a day. But using the information you already have and just a little time and thought can result in more meaningful and effective action plans that don’t unnecessarily burden your recruiters.

On the last Friday the 13th of the year—and just in time for the holidays— Matt Nusbaum, the Director of the BCG Institute for Workforce Development (BCGi), will entertain attendees with a story of how the ghosts of AAPs past, present, and future can be used to build better action plans that tell their own story.
Just as importantly, Matt will show how the plan itself can serve as a gentle reminder to OFCCP compliance officers that the law requires us to measure effort, not just results.

You’ll learn:
• How to derive value from past AAPs
• Where to put your focus in the future
• Which key questions to ask in order to customize your plan

All attendees will receive the BCGi Resources Action-Oriented Program Worksheets to gather and analyze all the relevant information they need in one place. The worksheets then guide users through a series of questions, the answers to which become plans tailored to their specific goals. You might even end up lightening the load on your Talent Acquisition staff (who might then thank you with a nice fruitcake).
